Ishq hota nahin sabhi ke liye, ye bana hai.. ye bana hai kisi kisi ke liye...... Through this nazm Zameer Kazmi Saheb has portrayed a deep thought on love. He is trying to say that MAN if you didn’t get your love then do not crib/cry/lost yourself. Love is not meant for everyone. It’s for very few people who are lucky enough to hold it back. And, this blog is for all those male people who are heading towards arrange marriage irrespective of whether they have ever fallen in love. In this blog I will share my experience with the parents of the girls (don’t know what to call them) who came to meet me & my family as an initial step. So, here it begins….
I am the eldest son in my family; so my grandparents wanted me to get married as soon as possible, they were trying for last 3-4 years to convince me for marriage, but I didn’t. There joy knew no bound when I said YES last year, & then it all started (in fact they started it long before that). I have met & interacted with lot many parents in this period & what I observed in these candid discussions that almost everyone ask same set of questions. Almost in each & every case, before meeting me, those people met my parents. So they know each & everything about me but still they want to hear it from me. So, here are some of the questions
1.) Where are you working? (as if they don’t know)
2.) Which company you are working with? ( majority of the people don’t know about IT companies but still they want to know because everyone asks)
3.) For how long you are working in this company? (Does it really matters)
4.) Where are you living?
5.) How you guys manage food?
6.) What is your qualification?
7.) From which college you have completed your graduation?
8.) Is it your first company?
9.) Why you have left the first one? (It seems I am facing HR round of a company)
Now suddenly & very slowly comes the million dollar question
10.) What is your package? (This matters a lot to lot many people)
These questions are like those important questions in college exams about which we were always sure that these questions will come for sure. No hard feelings for anyone (parents), because everybody wants the best MAN for their daughter/sister. But trust me this is really absurd. Anyways guys sooner or later days of INDEPENDENCE will vanish but till then enjoy the life. Only once in your LIFE you will get a RIGHT PERSON with whom you will get Married.. So till then … keep enjoying with the WRONG ONES.
Love,

Good post ... Thats very true ... I will always miss those interviews ... Not sure whether I am lucky or unlucky ... :)
I think all of your In Laws (Almost) had their checklist done from some CMM Level 5 Company's Manager. :)
thinking about the last lines...
But I think they are not wrong in asking all those questions as they care for their daughter.
